Hooray for the Sharks!

By Aunt Arctic -- Congratulations to the Sharks! Every team gave it their all, but the first ever Penguin Cup champions are the Sharks! It was a great tournament thanks to all the players and fans.

After all the goals, all the celebrations, and all the orange slices, we have our winners! You can't say that the Sharks had an easy time of it. But they stuck to it, and now they're the Penguin Cup champions! The team was overjoyed at their win, and proudly displayed their trophies in the Pizza Parlor. Fans also brought their blue puffles out to celebrate. Now that the matches are all over, I want to thank the CPSN reporters, camera crews, and anchors. You did a great job!

So I got my peeps from the Penguin Band over, and we started jamming. We've got a plan that's totes SWEET!!! On July 17, we're gonna launch SoundStudio. U'll be able 2 make WAY more songs AND hear them at the Dance Club.

I'm so stoked about having ur tunes blasted on the island--it's given me an even bigger idea! I'll give u more deets soon!

By Aunt Arctic -- Welcome to the Penguin Cup, everyone! Grab your Penguin Cup ball, lace up your shoes, and hit the fields. Players are already putting points on the board and every goal counts. Read more to learn how your team could be the champions!

First off, every goal you score counts for your team, no matter if you win or lose a shootout. You can challenge other teams, or just practice with your own. It's all about how many goals you can score.

It sounds simple, right? Well, even if your team is ahead, you shouldn't get too comfy. Every other soccer star is out to score too. You never know when an underdog will go on a scoring spree! Whichever team is leading at the end of the tournament on June 29 will win the championship.

You see, I intercepted a transmission coming through the time portal just before it closed. It was sent from future Protobot, so I decoded it immediately. This is what it says:

PROTOBOT 10K. ABANDON METEOR PLAN. RESULTS UNSATISFACTORY.

It seems you stopped him so thoroughly, that he will never even attempt his plan! This is great news, but it does beg the question--where and when is Protobot now?

By Reportbot 3000 -- Reportbot here! Looks like our troubles are over, citizens. Defenders from 2014 have come out of the time portal! With robos and jetpacks, they're going to destroy the meteors!

My holographic inbox tells me that many of us are worried about the damage Protobot has already caused. Gary 3000 sent out a call for help, and the year 2014 has answered. Now we'll be able to push back that rogue robot and save the island!

Right now, Gary 3000 is getting the new pilots geared up.  Some are already blasting off into space. Remember, all of our technology seems very advanced to our visitors.

They probably don't even have an Intergalactic Zoo in their time! Make sure to help them equip their gear. Together we can save the island!

By Tourdude 3000 -- New to our time line? Let me tell you about the trendiest hotspots on the island. First, you have to check out the zero gravity Dance Dome. You won't believe the moves you can pull off when you don't have to worry about a floor!

After you work up an appetite, head over to the Blast-off Bistro. Roboservers will get you a hexago pizza and the best sushi in the Milky Way.

Finally, don't leave without seeing the Robo Shop. There are painting robots that keep the robos looking trendy. They can be touchy though, so be nice or you might end up with a splotchy paint job!

Attention everyone! There have been sightings of sneaky microbots on our island. They could be looking for the secret technology that Protobot wants.

A time portal gets us there half the... time?

By Gary the Gadget Guy -- Greetings again. In the last issue, I spoke about the wonders of the future. However, there are threats there as well.  Ultimate Protobot 10K, one of the most dangerous villains we know of, was spotted by Gary 3000.

In Gary 3000's time, Protobot has rebuilt himself. Now he's a huge robot that launches meteors! He's going to sink the island with them if Gary 3000 doesn't give in to his demands. Usually, the Extra-Planetary Federation would defend the island, but they're all the way on planet Upzar II. There is a 99.3% chance that without their help, the island will be demolished!

We must get to the future and destroy those meteors! I've already started work on a time portal in the Forts. Come back on May 22 to save the future!

By JPG -- Here's a brief on these member-only robos from the future. I'd never choose anything over my jetpack, but the robos are excellent fliers. You can get all the way to space without refueling. They're also very quick to react. Whatever moves you make will be mirrored by the robo--from a wave to a ninja stance.

"Big Red," the three-legged robo, is my favorite. Something about it just looks good. You're heading into dangerous territory, pilots. Know your gear, fly safe, and watch your back!

BACK FROM THE FUTURE!

How does Gary keep the dates straight?

By Gary the Gadget Guy -- Greetings 2014! I've just came back from the wondrous future. You won't believe what I saw. Space elevators, an alien zoo, and robot waiters. It was a scientastic trip!

Traveling to the future was an illuminating experience. I met Gary 3000, who is me in the future but different. Is that confusing? I confess I'm getting used to time travel quirks. Regardless, he builds amazing gadgets that are used all over the galaxy.

The most impressive machines are the robos. These walking robot suits allow penguins to fly into orbit! Gary 3000 invented them to defend against threats from outer space and other dimensions. The pilots of these robos are the Extra-Planetary Federation. I didn't get to meet any of them though. They were rescuing alien creatures on planet Upzar II.

There's so much I could say about the future! Maybe you'll see for yourself soon.

HAT'S OFF TO HAT WEEK
Congrats to all the winners!

By Rookie -- Whoa! Did you guys see the funny hat week at the Dock?! Those hats were HILARIOUS! I still can't get over the Mullet hat. BAHAHA! Just look at it... look at it! Whew... okay. Aunt Arctic told me I should report this event, so I'm gonna report now.

The hat week wasn't just about bringing the funny. There were also categories for the fishiest hat, teastiest hat, and the biggest hat! It was crazy! I would have joined in but my hat is glued on so I don't lose it. Next time, I'm going to ask for a spinniest hat competition. I think I could do super well at that one!

I don't know exactly what the next year will bring, but I'm gonna search hard for new puffle discoveries. Now I know there are so many puffles out there, I'll have to go back to some places I've already looked! There's gotta be more hiding in the wilds of our island.

Or maybe there's more than just cat and dog puffles on that island Rockhopper found! I'm gonna be a busy sheila with all the expeditions coming up. I'll report back as soon as I find a new discovery!
