Club Penguin Rules
Respect Others
No bullying or being mean to others. Make sure you always treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Chat Nicely
No rude or inappropriate language. This includes any swearing, racism, talking about drugs, sex, or alcohol.

Stay Safe Online
No sharing of personal information. Never give out your real name, phone number, address, email, or password online. Don't direct another player to other websites.

Play Fair
No cheating or use of third party programs. If you're unsure whether a site or program is a third party program, your penguin may be banned forever.

How Was My Penguin Banned?

Players found not following the Club Penguin rules risk being banned, temporarily or permanently.

There are two ways bans occur in Club Penguin:
  1. Automatic bans occur when a player uses inappropriate language that is marked by our security system. These bans happen immediately, and the player will be logged out of Club Penguin, and banned for 24 hours.
  2. Moderators can apply bans to a penguin at any time. When a penguin is reported, a record of all conversation, including filtered messages, is sent to our moderators. Moderators review the conversation and will ban accounts found breaking the Club Penguin Rules (see above). Accounts can be banned for 24 hours, 72 hours, or forever depending on the offense.
There is NO way for another penguin to place a ban on your account. Only moderators can place bans.

 Ultimate Safe Chat

Players with accounts set to Ultimate Safe Chat mode can communicate using the predefined menu of phrases, emotes, actions and greeting cards. They cannot type their own messages. These players can only see other Ultimate Safe Chat messages.

There are dedicated Ultimate Safe Chat servers in Club Penguin. To choose one of these servers, look for the speech bubble icon when selecting a server.

Standart Safe Chat

Standard Safe Chat allows players to type their own messages. As you type in the chat bar, word suggestions will appear above the bar. If you see the word you're looking for, select it. You can continue typing, and selecting word suggestions until your message is complete. If the word you want does not show up, you can type your own.

All messages go through a sophisticated filter which blocks inappropriate words and phrases before it can be viewed by other players. Although the filter is continuously updated, comments that could be offensive to some players may occasionally get through. To further protect the security of Standard Safe Chat participants, moderators monitor what's going on and receive player reports of misconduct.
